Claire is a Leeds based Independent Midwife photographer and artist with extensive teaching experience in both arts and health.

Her artwork concentrates attention on the ways in which people and places are portrayed and perceived. Through re-representation, Claire challenges externally imposed identities and the expectations which follow. Often a reaction to an awareness of how media and other cultural representations do not fit with her own experience, Claire’s work seeks to reveal alternative identities to those more commonly described.
